Imagine this: there was a time in history, a long time ago, when the bounce and sway of a woman's hips was considered so beautiful that they set it to music and made a dance out of it..." Carolena Nericcio
Fat Chance Belly Dance® (FCBD), formerly known as American Tribal Style® Belly Dance, celebrates the strength and beauty of a community dancing together as a group. This is a dance for everyone, whether you've danced for years or want to try something new. FCBD® is low impact, as aerobic as you choose, and builds strength. It's also fun, interactive, and dynamic. And, because we dance as a group, you may meet like-minded people along the way. MOVE. PLAY. CONNECT. |

About ATS®FCBD® style belly dance is an American, modern dance created by Carolena Nericcio in the 1980s.
This an earthy, grounded dance that draws from Flamenco and tribal Egyptian, Arabic, and Indian dances. It is tribal in its look and dancing as a group. It's improvisational. Similar to speaking a language, FCBD® dancers use formatted steps, cues, eye contact and musical phrasing to create a unique dance each time. It marries all of this with the isolations and fluidity that belly dance is known for. |
CLASSESBeginning Adult FCBD® style belly dance classes are available now through the end of March 2021, Saturdays 2-3pm at OULA Bozeman on 611 N Wallace Street, Bozeman MT. Drop in fee is $12.
